The Crossing Kenner Louisiana St Marys Chapel Wedding // Anthony + Brandi

How did Anthony propose?
Our proposal was a special moment. He went out of his way to surprise me by having our close family walk out of the back of the restaurant right after the proposal. It was at our first date spot, Reginellis Pizza. His daughter walked up as our “waitress” and then he got on one knee. One of the best nights ever. Afterwards, we all were able to enjoy the special moment over pizza and drinks!

Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
St. Mary’s Chapel. The charm of the chapel and the old town feel of the area drew me into this area.

Where was your Reception held and why did you pick this site?
The Crossing. Same as above. The historic brick building made us feel like we were still bringing that New Orleans vibe to our reception.

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
I went with more of a rustic cake table. I found this vintage buffet table that I bought and it was used for my multiple cakes (4) including my wedding cake.

What was your favorite part of the day?
Too hard to choose. It was the best day from start to finish.

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
Not as quick to me. I felt like we still had time to greet everyone and mingle and then had plenty of time to enjoy the dance floor! 😉

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
I really like the simple elegant look of neutral colors.

From the Bride – When you first saw the groom, what were you thinking/feeling?
Hubba hubba!!!

From the groom – When you first saw the bride, what were you thinking/feeling?
I’m the luckiest man on earth!

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Bake my Day- she does a great job and it’s always delicious!

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
No I didn’t & I did not want that. We both wanted to be surprised at the ceremony.

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
I did not have a coordinator but I am blessed with great and helpful family and friends who stepped in when I needed them. Advice- don’t overdo it and stick to simple. No one will notice but you!

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
DJ- he did exactly what I asked. We had a blast with him!

Anything else you want to say?
Thank YOU for making us and our special day look good and capturing these memories for us that we will have forever!
