Did you do a first look? 
We did a first look and we are so glad that we did! Seeing each other for the first time on our wedding day was a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Having that moment to ourselves and being able to openly share our emotions made it all the more special.

What was your favorite part of the day?
It is hard to pick one favorite part of the day because the whole day was amazing, but we can maybe narrow it down to three. First, our nuptial mass, from the setting of the church to the music to the readings and our priest’s homily, was absolutely beautiful. We were also able to take some alone time after the ceremony to take pictures in the church with just the two of us. Then, sharing our first dance as husband and wife was so special. And last but not least, at our reception, we had the best night ever dancing and celebrating with our closest friends and family!

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
Yes! We wish we could do it all over again!

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? 
Gambino’s Bakery in Metairie made our cakes and they were absolutely delicious! The bride’s cake was alternating tiers of almond and butter cake with buttercream icing. The groom’s cake was his favorite – carrot cake with cream cheese icing – with a glass of milk to go with it!

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
We did most of the wedding planning ourselves, which was stressful at times. We thankfully hired a day-of coordinator, Shelley Fairburn with Simply Amour Weddings, and she was worth her weight in gold! She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect and stress-free. After seeing how well she handled our wedding day, we wish we would have hired her to plan the whole thing!

Anything else you want to say?
We cannot thank Corine and Kacie enough for capturing our special day! They made us feel so comfortable, ensured that we looked perfect in every posed picture, helped the family photographs run smoothly and efficiently, and never missed a photo-worthy moment. In fact, every time we saw a friend pull out a phone to have someone take a group picture, either Corine or Kacie were right there behind them to get a professional shot. Corine was everything we could have asked for in a wedding photographer and more!
