How did you meet?
We met during our freshman year of high school. Parker was in the band, and Hannah was on the dance team. We were friends for a few years before we started dating during our junior year.
Tell us a little about yourselves. What do you do?
Hannah is a teacher, and Parker is an engineer.
What is your favorite thing about each other? Share a personal story.
Hannah’s favorite thing about Parker is that he always puts others before himself—and that he’s funny! Parker’s favorite thing about Hannah is that she loves to laugh and dance with him. She’s always up for a good time, no matter the occasion.
How did the proposal go? Were you surprised?
Parker proposed to Hannah in City Park under the pavilion. What was supposed to be a family photo session turned into the surprise of a lifetime.
Where was your ceremony held, and why did you choose this location?
Our ceremony was held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. The moment we walked into the church, we were struck by its beauty and knew it was where we wanted to get married.
Where was your reception held, and why did you choose this venue?
Our reception was held at Chateau Country Club. As we toured the venue, we could already picture our family and friends filling the dance floor and celebrating together.
What unique or special touches did you include at your reception?
We had a live painter, a live band, custom Mardi Gras beads for tossing, light-up party favors, monogrammed cups and napkins, and anniversary champagne bottles.
What was your favorite moment of the day?
Our favorite moment was when the church doors opened and we saw each other for the first time.
Did the day really go by as quickly as everyone says?
It does go by fast, but we felt very present throughout the day and were able to truly enjoy each moment.
Who was your baker, and what flavors were your cakes? Were they delicious?
Our cakes were from Gambino’s. The wedding cake was almond cake with strawberry filling and white buttercream, while the groom’s cake was chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. They were absolutely delicious!
Did you have a coordinator, or did you plan everything yourselves? Any advice for future brides?
My mom and I planned everything ourselves. My advice is to tackle the big items first, then stay organized and keep track of anything that can be completed early.
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
Our first dance song was “Forever After All” by Luke Combs.
Band or DJ? Did they keep the party going?
Band—MOJEAUX! They absolutely rocked and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long.
