How did you meet?
We met in college during our sophomore year at LSU through mutual friends.
We are both from New Orleans and we love LSU. Kameron works as a clinical coordinator for a behavioral health company. I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist.

What is your favorite thing about each other?
We both love to cook and enjoy finding new recipes. When we first started dating I taught Kameron how to make cannolis. The tradition started during Thanksgiving and has become a staple ever since. We love making them for family and friends every year.

How did the proposal go? Who proposed to who, were you surprised?
Kameron and I have been together for 7 years. When he proposed he took me back to where we had our first date and printed out pictures of us throughout the 7 years we were together. We met when we were 19 years old so it was like watching yourself grow up with your best friend. I was so surprised and I definitely ugly cried.

Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
Our ceremony was at St. Joseph’s Church in New Orleans. We chose this church not only for its beauty, but also for its dedication to St. Joseph.

Where was your Reception held and why did you pick this site?
Our reception was at Chateau Golf and Country Club. They have amazing food and could accommodate our large party. They were also super nice and amazing to work with.

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
I have a big Italian family that loves to party. We had costumes and a whole production of dances. We had a Photo Booth and live painter as well. The brother Martin band came to play their fight song and lead us for a second line.

Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
Getting to look down the aisle and see my husbands face when he saw me walk out.

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
Yes absolutely! We danced, sang and partied the night away in a blink.

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
It’s a classic color and worked well in the winter

When you first saw the groom, what were you thinking/feeling?
Oh no I’m definitely going to cry! And also I’m so excited to marry my best friend.

When you first saw the bride, what were you thinking/feeling?
I couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked and that she was going to be my wife.

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Barbara the cake lady. Crème brûlée with buttercream icing

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
I did a first look with my dad 12/10 recommend.

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
We did it all ourselves. You can never overplan, but when the day comes enjoy the ride.

What was your first dance song? Why this song?
Tennessee Whiskey. We have loved it and it has been our song since getting together in college.

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
Sugar Shakers band and they totally rocked!

We want to hear YOUR advice for future brides or grooms?
Don’t sweat anything. This is your day and don’t let anyone or anything ruin it for you.

We work really hard to help come up with a timeline and plan for the portrait list to make sure you are getting the most out of your day. How useful was this for you?
This was incredible. I based my entire day on it and because of it everything went off without any issues.
