How did you meet?
Frank and Brittnaè first met in September of 2005 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic School in Houston, TX. Brittnaè and her family were touring the school as they had recently evacuated from New Orleans, and were looking to enroll Brittnaè and her brother into an area Catholic School. As they were walking the halls, Frank, who at the time was in Pre-Algebra noticed Brittnae from the classroom. He instantly asked for the bathroom pass, and swiftly left class. He walked up to the Rochè family and introduced himself. Two days later Brittnaè became a Valiant (mascot of SFDS) and had her first day of school.

To fast forward this part of their story. Brittnaè ended up leaving to go back to New Orleans a week later! However, she became good friends with Frank’s twin sister, Megan, and a few of the other girls. The girls exchanged numbers and that was that. A year goes by and its now Freshman year of High School for both Frank and Brittnaè. Frank had forgotten about Brittnaè and Brittnaè had forgotten about Frank. One night Frank was watching a movie with Megan and noticed that her phone kept vibrating. Being the observant and calculated brother that he is, he waits for her to go to the bathroom and then he checks her phone. To his surprise she and Brittnaè were texting each other! He instantly wrote Brittnaè’s number down before Megan got back!…..

From the Fall of 2006- Winter of 2016 (all of high school and college) they remained CLOSE friends and talked CONSTANTLY. Many would say they were more than friends lol but if you ask Brittnaè, they were just friends!

After years of being “friends”, on December 31, 2016 Frank asked Brittnaè to be his girlfriend. Almost 3 years later on the night of December 21, 2019 at Brenners on the Bayou Steakhouse in Houston, TX, Frank asked Brittnaè for her hand in marriage, and she accepted!

How did the proposal go? Who proposed to who, were you surprised?
Frank proposed to Brittnae on the night of December 21, 2019 at Brenners on the Bayou Steakhouse in Houston, TX, Frank asked Brittnaè for her hand in marriage, and she accepted!

Tell us a little about your ceremony and reception venues and why you picked them.
Our ceremony was held at Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church in New Orleans, LA. We chose this church because our original plan was to get married in Paris. Unfortunately, Due to Covid, we were not able to do so. We fell in love with church’s French architecture and the location being in the historic French Quarter. Our reception was held at the Omni Royal Orleans. We choose this location because it was convenient for our guest and we love the French design of the Grand Saloon Ballroom.

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
We had the following:

Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
Our favorite moment was our first dance. We were focused on each other and it felt like we were the only ones on the dance floor. Our guest were surprised when our sparklers went off.

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
Yes, It went by extremely fast.

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
Our color palette was blush and gold. We selected those colors because they are a great combination and pink is the Bride’s favorite color.

Who was your baker, and what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Both, our Groom’s cake and Bride’s cake were from The Royal Cakery. For the Bride’s cake, I wanted an old-school design with a modern twist. I also included hints of gold and our wedding monogram. The inspiration for the Groom’s cake was “travel”. We both love to travel. The cake included places we have visited, suitcases, globe, and an airplane. The Flavors for the bride’s cake were: Strawberry, pineapple, and caramel pecan. The flavor of the Groom’s cake was Caramel pecan.

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
We did not participate in a first look. We are very traditional.

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself?
We did not have a wedding coordinator. We planned everything ourselves. My advice to other brides is to be very patient. It is A LOT of work, however, you can do it!

What was your first dance song? Why this song?
Our first dance song was You by Jesse Powell. We both fell in love with this song and the meaning of the lyrics.

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
We had a DJ his name was DJ Polo. He definitely rocked it! We partied all night long!

We want to hear YOUR advice for future brides.
It is hard work preparing for your wedding, however, it will all be worth it in the end! Enjoy the day! It’s YOUR day! It will go by fast, so enjoy every minute. But most importantly enjoy spending time with your husband, family, and friends.

We work really hard to help come up with a timeline and plan for the portrait list to make sure you are getting the most out of your day. How useful was this for you?
yes! it was very helpful. It helped me plan a time for both, the makeup artist and hairstylist
.

Anything else you want to say?
Thank you Studio Tran! I was first introduced to your studio when I was in middle school. I was standing in a wedding and I met BeBe and Corrine for the first time. I loved how both of you capture every detail, and I’ve always said “I want Studio Tran to photograph my wedding!”
