How did you meet?
We met at Red Eye bar and grill while Stephen was not bartending. We danced the night away to Whitney Houston.

How did the proposal go?
The proposal went as good as it could have. Samantha had a gift exchange party at our house with her (2) sisters and her closest friends. I used this as an opportunity to organize the proposal with her oldest sister Ashley. During the gift exchange, Ashley told Samantha that the girls had purchased an extra gift as a “thank you” for hosting the party. As she unwrapped the gift, it was her engagement ring. I dropped the ring while putting it on her finger because I was nervous.

Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
Our ceremony was held at Immaculate Conception church. It was special to me because I graduated from high school at Jesuit on Carrolton. My dad and I attend Christmas Eve mass at Immaculate Conception and I think it’s the prettiest church in New Orleans.

Where was your Reception held and why did you pick this site?
Pavilion of Two Sisters in City Park, New Orleans. We selected this venue because the Christmas lights from Celebration in the Oaks would still be on. The price was right and Samantha and I spend a lot of time in City Park. Her parents live along City Park Avenue and her parents and childhood home is 4 blocks away.

Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
Seeing each other standing at the altar and Samantha walking up the aisle.
Being thrown in the air by my friends and family during the reception while the band played “SHOUT”

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
It went by way too fast but everything was fantastic including our photographer.

From the groom – When you first saw the bride, what were you thinking/feeling?
That’s my wife coming down the aisle. I hope she doesn’t cry or pass out from the anxiety of 300 people staring at her.

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
Nope, we wanted the first look to be at the Church

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
Wise Guys…. They did a fantastic job. The dance floor was packed the entire night. They engage the crowd in a fun and enthusiastic manner.

Anything else you want to say?
We had a blast. Beebe and the staff were amazing.
