Hi! I'm Beebe, a photographer based out of Metairie, LA. My wife Corine and I photograph weddings all over Southern Louisiana and created a blog for the convenience of our friends, family, colleagues and clients. Our son Ethan, who often makes appearances on our blog, is a photographer in training. Don't worry though, he won't be shooting any events just yet!

ricky + trisha Married

I had the pleasure of photographing Ricky & Trisha's wedding. It was really a blast! They were married at the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral and then the reception followed at the Omni. Following the ceremony was a great 2nd line to the hotel. We worked with Kelly & Chad Dyleand that was fun as always!

My previous couple, so cute!

How they met
We really met through fate...however, we were introduced through mutual friends. :) My good friend Carly (my Matron of Honor) is married to one of Ricky's friends, from New Orleans. He ended up moving to Las Vegas (where I'm from), and eventually worked in real estate. After working in advertising with Carly for a few years, I wound up working with Mike. He was doing some work with a few homes that were affected by Hurricane Katrina. I came to New Orleans with them to visit their family, and one of our first nights here, we wound up going to dinner with a group of their friends. Ricky was one of them, and from that moment...we were inseperable. After I went back to Vegas a few weeks later, we tried doing the long distance thing; but we could only take it for about 8 months. I moved everything across the country, and 6 months later we were engaged!

Why The St. Louis Cathedral
We decided to get married at the Cathedral because it is such a beautiful church, and it was also a perfect choice for all of our friends and family (especially those coming in from out of town) to see the perfect New Orleans wedding...Second Line and all!

Why Studio Tran
There was no question as to who we would ask to be our photographers for the most special day in our lives. I was there while Beebe took my sister-in-law's bridal portraits, and then Corine was at the wedding. I have been blown away by both of you and your incredible work ever since. I love to look at all of your blogs...your pictures are always breathtaking, and make me smile! We feel honored that yall captured all of our memories from our wedding day! Thank you!

Thoughts about the Day!
You know, we were both extremely concerned as far as our wedding day actually working out (with Hurricane Gustav first, and then Ike), but we were blessed beyond belief when Ike turned far enough away from us, that all we had on our wedding day was a breeze (which was nice for everyone second lining!) We both tried our hardest to savor every single second of our wedding and reception, and even though we are sad that it's all over; we are so happy to be married, and start this next part of our lives together! Thank yall so much for going through all of this with us :) We are forever greatful!

Sean + Jamie

Sean & Jamie we really worried that Hurricane Ike was heading to New Orleans right after Gustav rolled passed us. Anyway, we got lucky and Ike went to Texas. I feel bad for all the people in Texas though. Our prayers are with them.

From the pictures I posted, the wedding was still on! Robin Legendre kept everything together. She was their wedding planner. I also worked with Joe from Studio Vieux Carre.

Both Sean and Jamie got ready at the Maison Dupey then we all headed to the Omni Royal Orleans for the ceremony and reception. DJ Ike T, supplied us with the awesome entertainment!

Getting ready to see each other for the first time at the Maison Dupuy

Here we are with the Jamie & Sean. Corine was actually photographing another wedding in a different ballroom at the Omni. She ran in to say hi and my brother snapped this picture.

How you met?
We met online in 2003, yahoo personals to be exact. Jamie was leaving in North Carolina and Sean was living in New Jersey. However we did not meet until 2005 while Sean was on business in North Carolina!

The Proposal?
Sean proposed last November in the heart of the French Quarter, while Beebe Tran captured that wonderful moment. View the story on www.seanandjamie.com

Studio Tran?
We looked at over 10 photographers in the NOLA area. But Beebe captured moments like no other. It was great to work with him, because he definitely keeps his cool. If your looking for pictures that tell a story Studio Tran is for you.

Thoughts about the day?
We had been planning for about a year, trying to fit in little details:) Our favorite moments were seeing each other for the 1st time (the reveal), being swept away by Omni staff to enjoy dinner for two before the reception, and seeing all of our family and friends enjoying themselves because travel arrangements were not easy due to Hurricane Ike. We are truly blessed to have great family and friends in our lives, and we want to thank them. Advice for couples: 1.) Dont sweat the small stuff 2.) Make sure you eat dinner at your reception 3.) Live in the moment!

Shower Cake

I attended my good friend Jamie's baby shower on Sunday. It was a nice gathering at Copelands and the food was so yummy! I was in charge of the cake and have to say this is one of the cutest shower cakes ever (next to Daynas). Im sure its no surprise it was from my favorite bakery Flour Power

Scott + Nikki

Scott & Nikki fall into the Hurricane Gustav category of weddings. Everyone had to evacuate and they had their wedding scheduled the weekend after everything went down. Power was out in my area but Vintage Court had power across the lake so the wedding was still on. I know Scott & Nikki were worried about it all week but I was planning on shooting it regardless of where it was being held. They had a fun wedding despite Hurricane Gustav

How we met?
Scott and I met in our high school anatomy class. No, we didn't study together. Everyone asks! I spent the year attempting to get his attention and he failed to notice until senior prom when he asked me to dance. The rest is history!

The Proposal?
Scott was picking me up to go to my nursing school graduation last winter. I opened the door gave him a hug and promptly walked away to finish my hair. He followed me in the bathroom and told me to stop moving around, said that he couldn't wait any longer, and then got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course i said yes! Then i couldn't stop laughing because we were in a bathroom afterall. He defends his case by saying that my parents have a really beautiful bathroom.

Studio Tran?
When we started to plan the wedding, we knew that the photographer was the most important part to us. We wanted someone with a more candid and
photo-journalistic approach. But we also wanted someone creative, fun and professional. We found all of the above with Beebe and Studio Tran. They truly are the best in New Orleans!

Thoughts about the day?
With so many last minute hassles due to Gustav I think we spent the 48 hours before texting and talking on the phone to everyone involved with the wedding. Finding new officiants and hairstylists and making sure everything went off without a hitch, we were exhausted. But the day of ... more fun and beautiful than we could have ever expected! We wouldn't change a thing!
