Hi! I'm Beebe, a photographer based out of Metairie, LA. My wife Corine and I photograph weddings all over Southern Louisiana and created a blog for the convenience of our friends, family, colleagues and clients. Our son Ethan, who often makes appearances on our blog, is a photographer in training. Don't worry though, he won't be shooting any events just yet!

Eric & Cheryl

Cheryl and Eric both live in NYC currently. Cheryl contacted me awhile back and she and I graduated from Loyola the same year back in 2000. Small world huh! All of her bridesmaids also graduated from Loyola in 2000.

They had a beautiful wedding. They decided to see each other before hand. It was very special moment when they say each other for the first time.

Ceremony took place at Our Lady of Good Counsel. The reception was at Rosy's Jazz Hall.

David & Huong formals

Here are some of David & Huong's portraits from last week. We wanted to do something a little different and we all had a blast shooting them in the city. We also ran into some elephants walking the street.

Shoes & Elephants

Morgan and Andrew (called Loomis by his friends) were married yesterday. They had a beautiful ceremony outside at the Audubon Tea Room. I have many more pictures from this fabulous wedding to follow but had to share some of these.

After Andrew proposed to Morgan (at the Taj Mahal) she promptly went out looking not for a wedding dress, but her wedding shoes. After finding the perfect pair, and they really are perfect, she decided to find a dress to go with them. I had to share these fabulous shoes!

Andrew and Moran adopted a elephant in lieu of wedding favors and after the ceremony Tanya, the 41 year old elephant made an appearance!

Beebe photographed Huong & David's formal pictures and as they were photographing they saw a line of Elephants walking down the street, YES down the street in New Orleans. So of course they had to get a picture! Check it out below!

So how random is that? I have an elephant at my wedding and last week Bee had a string of elephants walking down the street!

OK, this shot was scary. Morgan was staying in the Ritz Carlton Suite on the 15th floor. There was a private patio and I decided to go out there in the rain and put her shoes on the railing with the city in the background. The patio opened up to a courtyard below so if the wind knocked the shoes over at least they wouldn't have fallen far!

My assistant (and friend) Kristin took this picture of me taking a picture of the elephant. And no, I wasn't using my flash. The staff said Tanya didn't mind flash but I wasn't taking any chances of upsetting her. Besides the lighting outside was absolutely perfect!

Josh & Melissa

Josh & Melissa are so in love and they were absolutely adorable on their wedding day. I loved how cute they were during the ceremony, they had an awesome first kiss, or should I say kisses. when the priest went to give communion they were holding hands, sneaking kisses and being so sweet.

The reception was held at the Champagne Palace. We love working with people we know, so we were excited when we saw LaVina from Your Day Production. Emily from Get Polished did a fabulous job on Melissa's air and makeup.

From Our Bride
How They met:
Josh and I met junior year of high school through my best friend. Our first date was to a military ball.

The Venue
We chose Champagne Palace because we thought it was beautiful. We loved the garden, torch, and the staircase.

Thoughts about the day
We thought our wedding was beautiful, but way to fast. Can we do it again??

Trey & Tammy June 14, 2007

From Our Bride
How They met:
Trey and I met on Mardi Gras day 2006 on the parade route. I knew his parents and brother for years before I met Trey. Trey and I both went with our parents to watch the parades and ended up meeting there. We have been together since that day!

The Ceremony
We went to look at churches throughout New Orleans and Metairie. We went to Mater Dolorosa first because we had passed it so many times previously on our way uptown. We walked in and knew that that was the church! The rest of the churches didn't stand a chance after seeing Mater Dolorosa!

The Photographer
I looked at many websites of local photographers and really liked the fun, easygoing style of Beebe's work. I liked how no pictures looked like they were posing. After meeting with Beebe we knew that he was the photographer that worked best for us.

Thoughts about the day
Our wedding was so much fun!!! We have heard nothing but the best about our wedding, and our wedding party loved that they did not have to miss much of the reception while taking the formal photos. I know that most brides look back and realize that their wedding day went by in a blur, I feel that I remember the majority of the day and took the time to have fun! All the planning was well worth it.

Caroline & Kevin

Caroline was a gorgeous bride. Beebe did her formals and wanted to share them right away, of course he couldn't and we had to wait until after the wedding. And we did promptly blog a few of our favorites HERE. Caroline, her bridesmaids and family made me and my assistant feel so welcome and at ease in her home where she was getting ready. The lighting was fabulous, lots of big open windows. The hair and makeup people did a fabulous job, everyone looked gorgeous!

The ceremony took place at Holy Name of Jesus on St. Charles. I love photographing inside this church, its beautiful.

The reception followed at the Astor Crowne Plaza. This is the 2nd reception I have ever shot there and I must say they do a fabulous job. The room is beautiful and has a awesome balcony on Bourbon Street, how fun is that! The food is delicious and the staff is so nice!

The Bucktown Allstars entertained the guests, and they were amazing as alwasy! We had a great time working with them and Blaine from Suzy Marks Video.

From Our Bride
How They met:
Kevin and I first met at a party in high school when I was 15 and he was 16. The party was a little boring so he asked me if I wanted to take a ride in his jeep. When we went outside it was this huge jeep on monster truck tires with no top and no doors. I loved it! From then on we were friends for a couple of months just hanging out in a group going to parties and football games. I started to have stronger feelings for him and one night we went to dinner and he was dropping me off and I said " I am not going to get out of this jeep until you kiss me" and he did. Ha-ha I was a forward little 15 year old. We have been together so long, and the reason it works is we started out as friends and that is the foundation of our relationship.

The Venue
We choose the Astor Crowne Plaza because we needed a big ballroom but we didn't want just a room. The balcony is what really sealed the deal for us, it gives the guest another place to relax away from the music and enjoy the sights of Bourbon Street which is great for out of town guests. Also the food is fantastic there, and we all know in New Orleans you have got to have great food for a great wedding.

The Ceremony
Ever since I stepped into Holy Name of Jesus Church as a child, I dreamed of getting married there. It is so breathtakingly beautiful that when you step inside you are just blown away. I also knew I wanted trumpets, so I thought how dramatic it would be to hear the trumpets playing in this large cathedral as I walked up the isle.

The Photographer
We chose Corine Tran because I had gotten her name from alot of friends that had used her and raved about her. When I checked out the website, I instantly fell in love with their style of photography. When I met with her and her husband at their home, they made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. Their work was so beautiful and they have great personalities which is very important when you are dealing with people so much during the planning process and also the wedding itself. Choosing Corine Tran for our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.

Thoughts about the day
Our wedding day was a dream come true for both of us. We dated for so long it was a day alot of people have been waiting for. Our main goal throughout the planning and the actual weekend of the wedding was to relax, enjoy it, and to really savor each moment. I know that is why our wedding was so successful because to us we were just having a great time celebrating with our family and friends. We didn't care about anything that was going on around us, we were just completely in the moment.

I love this veil
